Roger Malespin Solorzano, age 70, passed away  on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, At Intermountain Hospital in Murray. He was born September 21st, 1953, in Granada, Nicaragua. He studied Civil Engineering in the 1980’s. At the same time he was teaching in an Institute (INTECNA) in Granada, Nicaragua. In 1995 approximately, Roger moved to the United States. He worked as a machine operator with Sun Products Corporation (formerly known as Huish Detergents) for over two decades. He was recognized several times for his outstanding performance. Roger truly lived life to the fullest through simples pleasures; chatting with friends and family, going on walks to the park with his wife and his dog Rookie.. Roger loved fishing. Besides spending time with his family and friends. Roger had a passion for music, he enjoyed telling jokes and travel for long periods to Nicaragua every time he could. Roger was very religious. He enjoyed reading the Bible along with other literature. Roger had an uncanny ability to explain or answer anything with a passage of the bible. He is survived by his wife, Maria Antonieta; five children, Jethro, Roger Jr, Yousette, Jennifer and Felipe; and ten grandkids, and siblings. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Malespin and Abigail Solorzano; brother Felipe Malespin; and sister Rosa Ligia Linares Malespin. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply.

Family, friends, and other whose lives Roger touched are invited to the ETERNITY FUNERAL HOME, 1001 E 11th Ave. Salt Lake City, UT 84103, 

from 6p.m. -9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.

 Roger Malespin Solorzano, de 70 años, falleció el miércoles 15 de mayo de 2024 en el Hospital Intermountain de Murray. Nació el 21 de septiembre de 1953 en Granada, Nicaragua. Estudió Ingeniería Civil en los años 80’s. Al mismo tiempo se encontraba dando clases en un Instituto (INTECNA) en Granada, Nicaragua. En 1995 aproximadamente, Roger se mudó a Estados Unidos. Trabajó como operador de maquinaria en Sun Products Corporation (anteriormente conocida como Huish Detergents) durante más de dos décadas. Fue reconocido varias veces por su destacada actuación. Roger realmente vivió la vida al máximo a través de placeres simples; charlando con amigos y familiares, saliendo a caminar al parque con su esposa y su perro Rookie. A Roger le encantaba pescar. Además de pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Roger tenía pasión por la música, le gustaba contar chistes y viajar por largas temporadas a Nicaragua cada vez que podía. Roger era muy religioso. Le gustaba leer la Biblia junto con otras publicaciones. Roger tenía una asombrosa habilidad para explicar o responder cualquier cosa con un pasaje de la Biblia. Le sobreviven su esposa, María Antonieta; cinco hijos, Jethro, Roger Jr, Yousette, Jennifer y Felipe; y diez nietos y hermanos.

A Roger le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Manuel Malespin y Abigail Solórzano; hermano Felipe Malespín; y hermana Rosa Ligia Linares Malespin.

Su partida es un gran shock y una profunda herida, y toda su familia y muchas otras personas que lo amaban profundamente lo sienten gravemente.
