With love and remembrance, we share the passing of our Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who left us on Thursday, February 12th, passing at the age of 69. He was born on August 11th, 1956, in Manati Puerto Rico, a son of the late Antonia Santos and Angel Torres.
Luis was preceded in death by his parents Antonia and Angel, the mother of his children Joyce Garcia and her daughter Melissa Ortiz.
Luis was survived by his daughters Leticia Torres, Melissa Torres, and Robin Lopez; his sons Giovani Torres, Luis Torres Jr, Ronnie Nissen, Rick Nissen and his fur baby’s Milo and Chico. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss him.
Luis was full of life, humor, and generosity. Though he could be stubborn at first, once he warmed up to you, he became one of the funniest and most outgoing people you could ever meet. He had a heart that always wanted to help others, and a wisdom that often seemed to know things before anyone else. Luis had a lifelong passion for cars; buying, working on, and selling them, not just as a hobby, but as a way to connect with people and share what he loved.
He was deeply loved and cherished by everyone who knew him. His laughter, kindness, and guidance touched countless lives, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength, care, and unwavering love. He lived life with passion, joy, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room.
Dad/grandpa, may you rest in peace. No more pain or suffering, you are finally free. I know you’re reunited with your mom Antonia and grandma Joyce watching over everyone. I hope you can see how much we love you. Know that we will carry your laughter, your wisdom, and your kindness with us always. You will forever remain in all of our hearts and we promise to keep your legacy alive forever. Till we meet again grandpa.
