Julia Navez

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Julia Navez, 73, reunited with her daughter Iris on Oct. 25, 2026. Julia was born on Aug. 17, 1953 to Josefina Fuentes and Victor Recinos in San Salvador, El Salvador. She married Jose Navez, and brought their two children Enrique and Iris into the world. 

Their life in the states began in Queens, New York, where they continued to raise their children until moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked hard to ensure her family didn’t struggle and loved her children as well as grandchildren deeply.
Julia was cherished, admired, and thoughtful to everyone. She was always out and about at parties, well put together, and never excluding her granddaughter on outings. She had a beautiful smile and laugh. 

Julia was a strong and kindhearted woman having to overcome the passing of her daughter, health issues, and the removal of her son. No matter what, she continued providing and caring for her family despite all the horrible things that happened during her lifetime. She leaves behind Jose, Enrique, Samantha and other family members. 

She was thankful to be able to reunite with her sisters one last time. Julia accomplished raising Samantha, watched her graduate, and became a woman just as her mother Iris. 

No one can doubt the amount of strength and love Julia’s family put into caring for
her. Her family will miss her deeply and although she may not be here physically; her spirit lives
within us, “Treasured in my heart you’ll stay until we meet again someday.” 

We thank Julia for her love and time spent here with us. May she finally rest. We welcome family and friends to join us at 6 p.m on Thursday, Oct. 29, for the a viewing and funeral mass-last good bye at Eternity Funerals. Followed by the burial on Friday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
