It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Fanny Flores Anchorena. She departed this life to the encounter of our heavenly Father on December 28th, 2023, surrounded by her daughters.
Fanny was born on October 8th, 1937 to her loving parents Alfredo Flores and Luzmila Anchorena.
Fanny is preceded in death by her husband Eduardo Vernal and her beloved son Eduardo Vernal Jr.; her parents, her sister Isela and abuelita Eusebia. She is survived by her daughters Rosa, Fanny, Ivonne, and Annie, along with her 6 adoring grandchildren; sons-in-law; two brothers Wilfredo and Fabio, sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.
Fanny graduated from La Normal of Coracora as an elementary teacher. She was a free spirit whose contagious cheerfulness brightened the lives of students and colleagues alike. Her joyous spirit was ever-present, always radiating warmth and joy throughout her life. La “Nona” as named by her grandchildren was a firm believer and lived by the principle of placing God first, such a wonderful value that she imparted to her children.
Her legacy of love, faith, and service will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her, but especially her daughters and grandchildren. Fanny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her; Fanny’s legacy of strength, love, and laughter will continue to inspire us until we meet again.
A viewing and service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd , 2024 at Saint Ann Catholic Church (450 E 2100 S Salt Lake City UT ) as follows:
10:00 am to 10:45 am Viewing and Rosary
11:00 am to 12:00 pm Service Mass with Deacon (1:00 PM Peru time)
12:30 pm to 1:00 pm Burial (West Jordan City cemetery)

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida matriarca, Fanny Flores Anchorena, quien partio al encuentro de nuestro padre celestial,el 28 de diciembre de 2023, rodeada de sus hijas.
Fanny, nació el 8 de octubre de 1937 de sus amados padres Alfredo Flores y Luzmila Anchorena. A Fanny le precedieron en muerte, su esposo Eduardo Vernal; y su amado hijo Eduardo Vernal Jr.; sus padres, hermana Isela y Abuelita Eusebia.
Le sobreviven sus hijas Rosa, Fanny, Ivonne y Annie, junto con sus 6 adorados nietos; Carlos Eduardo, Joseph, Jennifer, Sebastian, Gabriel y Diego; sus yernos; sus dos hermanos Wilfredo y Fabio, cuñadas y sobrinos.
Fanny's se graduó en La Normal de Coracora como profesora de primaria. Tuvo un espíritu libre cuya alegría contagiosa iluminaba las vidas de estudiantes y colegas por igual. El mismo que acompaño a irradiar calidez y regocijo a lo largo de todos los aspectos de su vida. La “nona” como la llamaban sus nietos era una firme creyente y vivía según el principio de poner a Dios en primer lugar, un valor maravilloso que impartió a sus hijos.
Fanny será profundamente extrañada por todos los que la conocieron y amaron; asi como su legado de amor, fe y servicio resonará para siempre en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron, pero especialmente en sus hijas y nietos.
El Miercoles 3 de enero, 2024 se llevará a cabo el velorio y servicio en la iglesia católica Saint Ann (450 E 2100 S. Salt Lake City UT)
